The Jazz-niks big band was formed in 2004 as an adult learning jazz band open to all instruments. Over the years, the Group has evolved and matured into a competent amateur band with a focus on fun and camaraderie. The band is directed by Brian Thorlacius of the Wednesday Night Big Band and band director at Queen Elizabeth High School for many years prior to his retirement.
